Thunbergia is a very fast-growing, ever-blooming vine that comes in several colors. It performs best with vertical support, but can be used as a flowering ground cover.

It is not hardy in Ohio.

  • It is an annual in Ohio, meaning it will die at frost.

  • Commonly called Black-Eyed Susan vine due to similarity to the perennial.

  • Grows QUICKLY to 5-8 feet

  • Flowers non-stop starting with warm temperatures.

  • Blooms until frost

  • Growth is dense, so it can easily bury anything it surrounds. Plan accordingly

  • Attracts butterflies, and a few hummingbirds and an occasional bee.
